“It is easier to do a job right than to explain why you
didn’t.” — Martin
van Buren, 8th President of the United States
There’s no better place to spend a drowsy summer evening
than on your own outdoor vinyl deck. Leaning back in your
lounge chair listening to the crickets and watching the stars
come out while burgers sizzle on the grill — well, life
is good.
Until you get up and feel a jagged wooden splinter driven
deep into your foot.
That, in a nutshell, is the problem with wooden decks.
They look great when you first install one. But exposure
to sun,
rain,
snow and wind quickly destroys them, making them crack, splinter,
chip and rot. They need regular resealing and repainting.
And that wood can get blisteringly hot in the summer sun.
Fortunately, there’s a better option: vinyl decking.
Durable, maintenance-free and cost-effective, vinyl decking
lasts years longer than wood. Vinyl decking is nonporous,
weather-resistant surface cleans easily and resists stains
— and never needs sealing or painting. And vinyl decking
stays cool even during the hottest summer days.
Better Vinyl Decking Through Science
Our vinly decking material is made from polyvinyl chloride
(PVC), a very common and highly versatile synthetic material.
PVC appears in thousands of different products, including
window frames, drainage pipes, water service pipes, medical
devices, blood storage bags, cable and wire insulation, resilient
flooring, roofing membranes, stationary, automotive interiors
and seat coverings, fashion and footwear, packaging, cling
film, credit cards, synthetic leather and other coated fabrics.
Vinyl decking PVC is both fire and water resistant (that’s
one of the reasons it’s used to make raincoats and shower
curtains), and very easy to work with. Over 14 billion pounds
of PVC are currently produced per year in North America. Approximately
75% of all PVC manufactured is used in construction materials.
Vinyl Decking Guaranteed to Last
Obviously, there are a lot of PVC products out there, and
they’re not all created equal. Key to the appearance
and longevity of vinyl decking are certain additives that
help protect vinyl decking from the harmful effects of sunlight,
that ensure the color stays bright and fresh, that protect
against impact and weather.
Unfortunately, there are a lot of vinyl decking manufacturers
that cut corners to maximize their profit — at your expense.
We don’t do business with companies that do business
like that.
Our Brock Deck® vinyl decking products are backed by
a lifetime warranty on residential vinyl decking installations
and a 20-year warranty on commercial vinyl decking installations,
and our Sheerline® vinyl decking line carries a lifetime
warranty against cracking, breaking, abnormal weathering and
discoloration.
Only the Best Ingredients in our Vinyl Decking
All of our vinyl decking is manufactured using an additive
called TIO2, which gives them the best protection possible
against harmful ultraviolet (UV) radiation. Without this additive,
which meets the industry standard of 10pph, the vinyl decking
would become brittle and discolored over time.
We also offer only the very best, proven color additive
blends to ensure that your white, tan or gray vinyl decking
stays the same color it was when you bought it — in
fact, each rail car shipped to us has to be certified to have
met strict requirements before we accept delivery. Cheaper
products can’t (truthfully) make the same claim, which
is why they don’t last as long and don’t look
as good.
Our vinyl decking products are also extruded from the very
best virgin vinyl compounds available. Other vinyl decking
manufacturers too often use a quality surface coating over
a base of inferior, recycled vinyl scrap. As a result, the
base may not be as resistant to UV and environmental conditions,
and the entire structure can weaken over time. Because our
vinyl decking is 100% extruded from virgin vinyl, you can
rest assured it’ll be worry-free.
Environmentally
Conscious
We’re concerned that our products be as environmentally
friendly as possible, so we actively try to reduce the amount
of scrap generated at our manufacturing facility. We also practice
a very aggressive regrind and reprocessing program. All of our
decking is 100% recyclable — an environmentally safe alternative
to chemically treated wood decking.
